Article Marketing Tips And Advice
By: Steve Hill, Wed Jun 13th, 2007
I have had four hundred and ninety eight articles accepted and published on ezinearticles. I am quite proud of this even though this amount is actually quite small in comparison to somebody like Lance Winslow who has somehow written over eleven thousand. I have learnt quite a lot about what does and does not work in respect of article marketing and in this article will share my knowledge and give my personal tips and tricks which I hope will be of benefit to other authors.
I think it is important to have a weekly goal or target about the amount of articles you are going to write. My own target is to write seven articles each week, this of course is an average of one a day. This should not be too much to ask and will have a huge positive effect on your website if you can carry it off. On some days I am able to write three of four articles and then will have a couple of days when I do not write any. Using this methodology will ensure that I do not become burnt out, I have met many people who have written an average of twenty articles per week but after three months they are completely shattered and are just not able to carry on. They then look to other ways of promoting their sites such as purchasing links.
You should only submit original content, this may seem obvious to most people however you may be surprised to learn that there are quite a few authors, if thats what you can call them, who submit what are called plr articles. This is a big no no and I understand that the team at ezinearticles are working very hard to stop these article marketing criminals.
The articles should be of value to the reader for example giving advice etc. I also like to include humour in my own articles. In my opinion each article should have at least three hundred words and no more than six hundred.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this article. If you have any questions or if you would like to find out about my new website promotion service you can e-mail me at info@stammering-stuttering.co.uk.
