Room Parent Organization
Each Tehiyah classroom has two room parents who work throughout the year to provide teacher support, coordinate class events and parent discussion groups, and facilitate communication between the school and families.

Middot l’Mishpachot (Family Values)
TPO’S Jewish family education program. Middot l’Mishpachot sponsors a regular “Learner’s Havurah” for parents who would like to learn more about Jewish rituals, holidays, music and music. Learn along with your children!

Parent Discussion Groups and Speaker Events
Each year, TPO sponsors several parent meetings for each grade - typically several social events, facilitated speaker forums on child development issues, and an informal informational meeting with Head of School, Steve Tabak. Room parents will organize these meetings. Speaker events on topics of interest to the entire parent community will also be held.

Diversity Committee
The Diversity Committee’s aim is to weave the rich experience of each child at Tehiyah into the fabric of the school community and to teach respect for those in the increasingly diverse community around us. The committee engages in projects that support diversity awareness and education for the entire school community.

Learning Success
Recognizing differing abilities, gifts and learning styles the Learning Success Group strives to make the Tehiyah educational experience accessible to all students. The Learning Success Group is developing an educational forum which will be staged in the near future.

G’milut Chasadim: TDS Community Care
“Acts of Loving-Kindness” to support Tehiyah community members in times of need (preparing meals, visiting the sick, providing childcare).
